[May, 2017]  I had this dram during the Cadenhead 175th Anniversary tasting in Campbeltown.

A very fine selection by Cadenhead and a worthy anniversary bottling.  I like it very much...
    • Nose
      92 92
The colour is pale straw and the texture shows a few early legs and late fat tears. The nose is on a typical Rosebank profile (citric, green apples, honey) and very rich.
    • Taste
      90 90
The taste is very sweet on honey flavours and fruity aromas. It is complex and layered, I like that. Water is not needed (it releases some bitter and drying notes).
    • Finish
      91 91
The dram arrives warming and nicely coating on the palate with no distracting moments. The finish is long and again nicely layered. No flaws or off-notes that I can find, and no drying or bitter moments either. Bottled at a perfect time.

Extremely delicious. A great combination of light freshness and aromatic spice. 89 points
    • Nose
It is light-fruited. Lemon roll, pineapple green but mild apple. Oak is also present, not aggressive, but present. Then a very intense and sweet vanilla penetrates the nose. Vanilla sugar. A few grated coconut. Flower meadow. The oak gets spicier with some hand warmth and displaces the fruits. Only the pineapple can still penetrate. Then come new fruit. Bitterorangenmarmrlade. Kiwi.
    • Taste
Sweet wood flows on the tongue. Immediately, however, an astringent sensation begins to insert at the edges of the tongue. Vanilla sticks, pineapple, the bitter orange jam. Swallowing releases a vanilla-dominated tobacco can. The Nachschmecken is sweet, vanilla and subtly spicy. Alcohol? Wrong!
    • Finish
Long, slow from sweet to dry. A touch of bitterness in the cheeks.

A very nice Rosebank. On par with others I've had the opportunity to taste.
    • Nose
      90 90
Honey, lime, green apple skin, licorice, dried pineapple
    • Taste
      91 91
Creamy honey, lime juice, candied ginger, mint candies, some grass
    • Finish
      91 91
Honey, ginger, grassy, light pepper, mint, oily

N: honeycomb, orange and lime oils, very light and elegant, soft vanilla, Caramels, melon

P: creamed honey, creamy fudge, honeysuckle, liquorice

F: fudge, orange creamsicle, vanilla ice cream.

Wow. This is really good stuff.

For 50% he was surprisingly aggressive, but also delicious, another typical Rosebank with little Fehlnoten, except the paint in the nose.
    • Nose
Candyfloss, almonds, marzipan ... Hm, very pointed and concentrated, not as inviting as other rosebank, nail polish, light honey, lychee, physalis, honeydew melon, lemon ice, rose water
    • Taste
Lemon ice cream, lime, flowers, unripe banana, papaya, vanilla, light honey, light malt, ginger and camphor, a hint of salt and pineapple, but everything is still a bit too sharp and aggressive for my taste
    • Finish
Pineapple juice, honey, light malt and young oak, ginger and some white pepper, medium-long, still strong

  6. Hemdl scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

Classic and therefore more beautiful Rosebank, which mirrors the Brennereicharakter wonderful and has only small weaknesses. In the departure is missing the last kick, otherwise there would be only the current price as a downer.
    • Nose
Mhhh ... yum. Minimal citrus notes mix with many, many juicy-sweet fruit notes and some honey. Salivation already starts with the nose. After a few minutes in the glass a little less sweet. Instead of the honey sweetness of green apples and something that reminds me of hay.
    • Taste
Strong and slightly spicier than in the nose, but apart from that with a similar profile. Sweet-fruity notes and some honey sweetness dominate here too, but now with the noticeable addition of fresh oak. Leaving the malt on the tongue for a few seconds makes it appear increasingly spicy with a touch of bitterness.
    • Finish
Medium long, unspectacular. The fruit flavors fade and make room for the oak notes. Contrary to the fear but without bitterness or tendency to dryness.
