Good, but I side with Dram Drinker on this one.

This has a fine nose that is on the sweet side with wood overtones, you can smell the stewed fruits.
Leave it for a few minutes in the glass and there is a lovely caramel note.
Creamy on the palate with a blast of spice but there is also a lovely sweetness that is like sweet pastry, Toffee, caramel and a very lively spicy peat but it is in the background.
    Great balance great flavour.
The quality of this has really surprised me, I certainly would not pay £700 for this bottle , that is beyond stupidity but a few hundred pounds, maybe I would, it is certainly not worth anymore than that but a a whiskey to savour when the only thing you are interested in is enjoying the flavours.

Surely better than most standard bottlings - but won't become my favorite either
    • Nose
      87 87
Lots of green fruits, herbs and yes, heather too - also lemony, a bit salty sea breeze, honeydew, wet hay, whiffs of oak wood - pretty OK
    • Taste
      88 88
Creamy, more green and yellow fruits, peaches, hints of vanilla, subtle sweetness
    • Finish
      86 86
Medium long, warm, more herbs, sage and thyme

I was confused when I first tried this, so I purchased a couple bottles of cheap shelf Jameson for comparison, and I think I understand better now. Nose is fantastic - peaches in heavy cream, good cereal grains, something I want to call "heather". Fresh and lively but refined and expressive. Mouth starts with fresh grains and alcohol, then more great peaches and nectarines, then more creams and yogurts, then a finish that's surprisingly bright and a bit hot. Blows the regular "triple reserve" away, and the other shelf black label one. Feels surprisingly fresh and bright, but it's still pretty refined. By far the best Irish whiskey I've had.

complete notes here: http://www.weinkenner.de/2012/jameson-irish-pure-pot-still-whiskey-15yo-limited-millennium-edition-25213/ Color: full gold
Nose: Wild honey, toffee, caramel, herbal aromas, delicate earthy notes, malted cereals, bael of grapes (pressed grapes), tea.
Taste: Soft, fruity mouthfeel, perfectly rounded, spicy, tart notes of leather, some tobacco, delicate touch of oak, herbs, tea aromas, then sweet, again honey and a lot of fruit.
Finish: Long, tart, delicately salty, with a dry finish . The fruity, kraeutrige wood note remains highlighted until the end.
Note: Soft starting, but then quickly becoming powerful with a perfect taste that lasts super long.
    93 points (nose: 92 / taste: 93 / finish: 93)
    Price: about 500 euros
