Impressive packaging. All up actually good value for money, a dependable buy. Love the Family Casks.
    • Nose
with really quite considerable water, the nose becomes magnificent. Lots of almond paste.
    • Taste
everyone has said it very well, but I would advise trying a fair amount of water.

  6. Hobbit did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

It strongly reminds me of Edition No. 20. Significant influences of wood and resin. I personally do not like the "brighter" Glenfarclas as much as the sherry-stressed ones
    • Nose
Beautiful first nose with sherry and vanilla, caramel cream candy, strong orange, apricot, the sherry fruits take shape, raisins, apple but also clear alcohol. Here you can help with water, the Glenfarclas character is very recognizable in this Whiksy, the oak is not too dominant and the sherry rather restrained, in the nose, however, already shows a significant spiciness, gin, softwood, juniper
    • Taste
sweet creamy start, more subtle sherry, tannins, resin, maple syrup, raisins, cranberry dried, noticeable oak, gin notes, caramel, milk chocolate, a little berry jam and honey
    • Finish
again resin, gin, pine needles, oak, subtle bitterness, chocolate, orange peel, a hint of sherry, becoming drier
