- [May, 2017] I had this during a warehouse tasting at Campbeltown and bought a bottle for 150 GBP. The taste is quite sweet with a significant liquorice spike. Unfortunately it gets a little bitter in the end due to heavy tannins.
No peat? If a little bit: very light with vegetal accents. Rather closed. Some notes of honey that, shy at first, assert themselves. Almonds. Wax. Vanilla. More and more caressing, but too wise - and not very generous.
A few drops of water bring butterscotch and lemon, without boosting the volume.
Velvety, with an extremely broad spectrum of spices. Balanced on honey and spices - which is for me the signature of a good Highland Park.
More juicy with a little water.
Very large presence where the diversity of spices is preserved, but with the strength and more! Slight bitterness in length.
With a little water, we have a superb depth with notes of coffee with milk!

- Quick notes from an informal tasting.
A very good old Highland Park.
Floral (heather), mineral, fruity (white fruits), vanilla.
Fruity (peaches, apricots, pineapple) and floral (heather). Light earthy smoke.
Long... That's all I noted.
- A little classic nose but reveals in the mouth. Very good and very beautiful texture.
Nose on yellow and white fruit (pear apple). Pepper
A little bit of eucalyptus. A little floral.
On the palate quite creamy, sweet.
Yellow fruits, wood, camphor, it is super balanced and good, coiled.
Final on tropical fruits. Papaya. White pepper.
