Unfortunately, he promises more in the nose than he gives afterwards. With a lot of imagination (nose) he even has something Old Pulteney character. The modern closure is very good and should be used more often. You do not spill a single drop in this patent. ;-)
The nose is clearly the best part of this bottling. It has a sweet, fruity taste of green apples and citrus notes. The oak barrel gives off nice vanilla notes.
Again, the vanilla notes come to light again, but the taste is short-lived.
There is very little effect in the finish, leaving a slightly bitter note at the end.
