Whisky Reviews for Glendronach 2005
6 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 90.15 points
High quality leather sofa, prunes, plum, and all you'd expect from a sherry cask matured whisky. Sherry sweetness, some bitter Chinese herbs, Oolong tea. Light fruitiness which lift the nose a little bit, otherwise a very shy nose.
Sherry sweetness, not too sweet. Liquorice, candy. Surprisingly light, warm Coke, some oakiness.
Medium, slightly dry, slightly nutty, fruity, a bit of bitterness.
- Side by side with the hand-filled 1444. Dark and coffee. Always excited for young sherry babies from the Glendronach, especially for hand-filled one. TBH this time we find a little spicy and tobacco which normally we can find from young whiskies. Yes, good quality though a bit young. Perhaps, need some time...
- The first Glendronach 2005 ever bottled.
