Glen Elgin is a sweet, smooth, good balanced and tasty whisky. Adding small quantity of sherry cask made very good result.

Get a bit tired of "Modern Speyside style" whiskies, this one has a strong palate.
    • Nose
Modern Speyside style, a bit boring, quite a distillate driven malt, sweet barley malt, fresh bread.
    • Taste
Very powerful, sour, citrus fruits, light oakiness.
    • Finish
      Medium, green tea, drying

Tasting Notes: Nose: Lots of vanilla, coconut, pineapple, macadamia nut and tons of white chocolate. Sweet floral scent and peanut butter, marzipan, apricots and honeydew melon. I have to say that it is certainly not the most complex flavor ever, but extremely accessible and plump.
Mouth: Sweet, very fruity, apricot jam pure! Nevertheless, he does not seem to be a heavyweight, because a certain elegance and lightness is directly on the tongue. Quickly shows fine spiciness, and also marzipan, almonds and ginger.
Finish: Could be a bit longer, a bit thinned but quite warming and rewarding.
Conclusion: Overall, a slightly simpler malt, but at this level certainly one of the best and extremely consistent in itself. https://whiskycuse.wordpress.com/

On the nose, sherry, a creamy sweetness!
On the palate, we attack with the very present alcohol, then aromas of black cherry, vanilla, a woody side back then a milky sweetness, very fresh!
In the final, it's medium length, subtle!
A fine dram, which takes time to fully open.
