  1. irrerelevant scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

has a young appearance overall, that sassicaia didnt find its way "in" that whisky, seems to sit on top, the sweetness is a little artificial, still interesting whisky becaus of that grainy note
    • Nose
Sweet biscuits, grain, pale red fruits, mirabelle, pear, wine gum
    • Taste
fresh, floral, a little soapy, the grain note is dominant, but quite pleasant, winy mouthfeel, pink wine, grapes, cookie dough
    • Finish
medium, fruity, turns a little dry and sour

  2. tkoppelaar scored this whisky 83 points Member Senior

    • Nose
Starts with fresh fruit, orange, peach, apricot. Smells lightly to wine. Wood, toffee / caramel and a little bit of peat. Grass / hay.
    • Taste
Starts sweet, pepper, caramel, salt, forest fruits.
    • Finish
Mild pirate and especially fruity. Ends dry.

  3. irrerelevant scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

Sweet pastries, cereals, light red fruit, mirabelles, light pear, gummy bears, fresh, floral, slightly soapy, cereal touch dominates pleasantly, in the mouth vinous, rose wine, grapes, biscuit, altogether perhaps too young, the Sassicaia ripening is put on something, still a great, interesting Malt

  4. Magnus Hillman scored this whisky 82 points Expert Senior

This one would definitely become much better with more cask maturation and bottling at higher strength. Nevertheless it's an interesting dram with character.

    (Rating interval 80-85p)
    • Nose
Butterscotch, aromatic pink pepper, caramel custard and a hint of apple juice. Some peat smoke is playing in the background.
    • Taste
It is a sweet delivery, very mild with oak, pepper, bitter stone fruit, raspberries and table salt at the front and front sides of the tongue. It is not a swimmer but water brings blue plums on the palate after a minute or so.
    • Finish
The finish is rather weak with hints of red berries, black currant and mixed pepper corns (pink and black). A bit bright.
