The peat in the 70s of the last century was really self-satisfied and placed on PE, Ardbeg, Laphroaig. It would be amazing that peat can be so delicate, and on Clynelish, even the sense of presence is lost, so rich wax Wine body, super high degree of barreling, what we want is springbank, Ledaig, dirty, dirty, dirty! As a result, I feel at ease to make a replacement for Caol ila, which is elegant and uninteresting, which is really sad.
    • Nose
Steep and sticky oily breath, many sweet cereals, oats, raw corn, wheat ears, almonds, etc., the sweetness is amazing, tropical mead, fruit wine (lychee), jujube flowers, a small amount of minerals, salt and oyster Shells, old leather, motor oil, wood embers, not so much a kitten with peat, this kind of dirty feeling is closer to the basic plate of Genting.
    • Taste
Oats, honeycomb without honey, white stubble oak, sugar-free green tea, licorice. Ashes, peat smoke, a small amount of lemon, orange peel and extremely shallow tropical fruits (slightly sweet and sour), trace amounts of table salt and medical alcohol.

Full, rich in fat, sweeter, no irritation, no acid, no astringency, no bitter bottom.
    • Finish
For a long time, beeswax, matcha, tofu, chalk.

Raw walnuts, very austere, sweet grains, ripe apples, fresh vanilla seeds, very peaty though distilled in 75, burned leather, Nutella, the peat is sweet, like an Ardbeg.
    • Taste
      96 96
Rich and sweet, a lot of umami! Sour and juicy, one of the most delicious whisky I had! Lingering leather, mouth-watering, intense and loud, peaty and minty, what a dance!
    • Finish
      91 91
      Medium, sweet roasted barley.

Freaky Brora, but a lot of fun and desire to discover, you can take your time.
    • Nose
Frankincense, hearty, chalk, mineral, old stone cellar, moss, mushrooms, old oak, leather, moist tobacco, vllt. kiwi, papaya, wild honey, resin, almonds, pistachios, anise, some salt
    • Taste
Nettle, kiwi, papaya, coconut and almonds, pistachios, chalk, salt, iodine, mint, malt, tannins, wild honey, tonka, cardamom, camphor, pear and lime zest, surprisingly fruity, sour, licorice
    • Finish
Oak now forward, chalk, the exotic fruits in dried chips, malt, nutmeg and camphor, long

The stated bottle size is actually 750ml , as the 700ml bottling was never used for the American market in this range.

Nose: A combination of fresh and sweet floral notes of honey flavored with peat.
The taste is definitely mineral and salt, there is practically no peatiness, but there is a pleasant sweetness, the fortress is not felt at all.
The finish is long and powerful, peat, salt, and light grass bitterness
In an empty glass, damp earth appears.

M&O tells us this was the first official bottling of Brora. The first ever Brora bottling according to Colin was a SMWS 1976 12yo [WB].

N: Waxy farmy fume-y sulphury eggy bread. Boy I’m sensitive to sulphur today.
T&F: This is not a sexy Brora and it’s so strong/astringent that I struggle to pick things out. I eventually find lime stone, barley, hints of oysters, more wet stones, earthy gunk.
C: Brora isn’t quite firing for me today, yet as always, I attempt to remain objective.
