Whisky Reviews for Glen Elgin 1995 SV
5 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 85.60 points
- Green, malty, sugary notes. Very drinkable at the 46% but feels somewhat thin. Ok whisky and at the release price just a very price / quality ratio. Something to open and relax after a days work. But nothing to exciting.
Malty, sugary notes with a layer of oranges. A little bit restrained in the nose. Somewhat grassy notes. The nose is evolving into mandarins and oranges and opening up nicely.
Sweet malted barley, artificial sugar, sweet pastry, a little bit of custard. Squeezed unripe oranges and maybe a faint hint of lime. Oranges becoming more expressive in the taste.
A little bit peppery, grapefruit skin. Short finish on oranges but the somewhat peppery and bitter edge remain.
