  1. Calmar scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

Pleasant drinking whisky, not too mature, but very powerful and invigorating, refreshing, sparkling like a Bengal fire, is very similar to the Islay Barley releases from Bruichladdich, but older and deeper.
    • Nose
Indoor, dry, fresh wood, grain, lemon peel, carpentry workshop, solvent, light resin notes, camphor, eucalyptus, herbal shades, green apples.
    • Taste
Powerful, rich, oak, grain, mineral notes, sweet creamy shades, nuts, red pepper, orange peels.
    • Finish
Spicy, sweet-sour with light berry sourness, mineral-metal astringent taste, nuts.

  3. Roland7 scored this whisky 84 points Expert Junior

Dry, thin and discreet. Yellow apple, banana, lemon, some almonds, fresh bun, corn, wild herbs, hay, jasmine and subtle notes of mint.

  4. HammerHead scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

    • Nose

Quite sweet and floral, honey, salted butter, salted almonds, citrus fruits like oranges and lemon, some (indistinct) dried fruitiness and oak wood chips. With water and extra time also peach and a pretty clear cake note.
    • Taste
      88 88
Medium bodied, an initially more distinct fruitiness with peaches and apricots, also vanilla, honey, citrus, pepper, some herbal spiciness and drying wood bitters
    • Finish
      87 87
Medium length: dryish, apricots, mild honey, bitter oranges, black pepper and a clear but relatively mild wood spicyness

  5. LiquidThoughts scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

That's why I love Caperdonich, sometimes more sweet fruit, sometimes more in acid and salt, but always a great fruit basket and good power.
    • Nose
Fresh and sparkling, grapefruit clearly, lemon, orange, beautiful citrus, light malt and white pepper, rises nicely on the nose and makes you want to sip directly
    • Taste
Here too, grapefruit, orange, light malt and some pepper, power behind it, light honey, mango, pineapple, red apple later, some thyme and oregano, drying backwards
    • Finish
Dry malty with more apricot now rather, some salt is now, Grapefruit, long
