Another great Speysider - definitely one of the better ones in the recent series of old Speysider releases.
    • Nose
Wow, what a mix of tropical and yellow fruits starting from pineapples through apricots, limes and ending with honey sweet melons, spices, white wine - Just great!
    • Taste
Very oily, creamy, fruity, smooth, good sweetness, hints of vanilla and oak wood, lots of fruits and spices again - superb!
    • Finish
Medium long and smooth, still fruity amd sweet

Again a really beautiful 1973 Speysider, first class!
    • Nose
very elegant and clear, orange, melon, mango, honey, banana, warm apricots, slightly spicy / malty, slightly herbaceous, mint, chamomile, lemon verbena
    • Taste
again very clear and fine, orange, melon, mango, passion fruit, honey, banana, ginger, cinnamon, some tobacco sweetness, sweet and fruity, (slightly less citrusy and full of flavor than for example the same-aged Speyside region of, Zanzibar, WID: 94080), White pepper, mint, everything in harmony, sometimes the honey is ahead, sometimes the fruits, sometimes the spices, slightly kräutrig, wonderful
    • Finish
very fine, honey, orange zest, cinnamon and mint remain the longest

Another fruit bomb tropical and stone fruits, excellent

Another very delicious Speysider with the typical bright exotic fruit profile - compared to other bottlings from the era I see him in the lower midfield, the flavors are great but it lacks some intensity and power compared to 10years TWA, Goodvibes and also the 45yo Maltbarn 73er.
Complain at the highest level and one should not conceal the release price differences of the bottles.

very accessible and uncomplicated, a yellow fruit explosion from the Snifter - sweet warm pineapple juice - thick and fruity, citrus zest, sweet lemon, candied pineapple, orange TicTac, canned apricots, cream cake, panna cotta, birch water, freshly split green wood, vanilla

The fruits from the nose I find all on the palate again, to melon, mango, cucumber and tobacco. It benefits greatly from some air in the mouth and chewing doubles the aroma spectrum and intensity. Beautifully warm and creamy - subtle sweet / sour profile, very creamy light wood aromas, almost no bitterness, delicate yeasty notes, rum chocolate, champagne cream, baking cocoa
Overall, he is very gentle and does not need water.
    • Finish

very creamy, white chocolate, some pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon - aromas medium long, warm waxy tannin herbal mixture very long

And another excellent Speyside 1973. Beautiful nose and tasty palate.
    • Nose
First nosing is überfruity and überwaxy. Ripe apricots, peaches, plums, bananas, beeswax. A little aeration and all this notes are more subtle. Precious wood, light citrus notes, aromatic herbs, spices, a walk in a field. Very fresh.
    • Taste
Very fruity and sweet. Apricots, passion fruits, bananas, honey. Pepper, citrus and mint.
    • Finish
Long, fruits and honey are lingering.

Comparing to the Speyside 1975 41yo from Maltbarn this one is more fruity and a bit sweeter -it's a matter of taste which on you prefer - both are great
