    • Nose
Huge sherry, very grainy, top quality, old style sherry. Fermented beancurd, cigar leaves, dried fruits.
    • Taste
Very syrupy and fruity, huge dried fruits, like a Glendronach/Longmorn, oily, blackcurrants, shoe polish, leather
    • Finish
Long coffee finish, sweet raisins, bitter, bold and spicy.

Freshly sliced very spicy herbs and typical fragrance of dried fruits (peaches and apricots). In the mouth, a wonderful sweet world vanilla, caramel and fruity sweet and spicy wood notes unfolds. Thankfully missing the solvent notes like a bourbon. In the really long finish a peppery sharpness and resinous wood are present in addition to the fruity sweetness. But really, this single grain suggests some (or better many) single malt.

Fascinating. I like the nose for sure. The rest of it, ... well it's a rollercoaster, but they're always fun aren't they?
    • Nose
The colour suggests some sherry cask influence and the nose does nothing
to change your mind. It's hard to break through the very sweet/citrus
presentation, but it clarifies as oranges and Love Heart sweeties
    • Taste
It really has a good rummage around in your taste buds this one. Its
sweet, sour, bitter and maybe even slightly salty as well. Its not at
all graceful but it really gets your attention. I like it just for its
    • Finish
Ha, the finish does it again. It starts sweet then turns sour (not too
sour though), then bitter (maybe a bit too bitter and ultimately dries
leaving a sense, if not a real taste of salt. It takes quite a while to

This one has characteristics of an American Rye.  Very nice.
    • Nose
Soft and sweet.  Ripe bananas.  Pina Colada.  Werther's Originals. Vanilla fudge.  Almond toffee.  Fresh roasted chestnuts (in Manhattan).  Bourbon.
    • Taste
Light and sweet.  Cereal.  Spicy, but not hot (cinnamon, black pepper, cloves).  Vanilla fudge, again.  Licorice root.  Spice cake.
    • Finish
Sweet and medium in length.  More licorice, then some ginger (?). Peppercorns.  Cinnamon, then hints of oak.
