A highly 'green' dram, it really is not my cup of tea.
    • Nose
Celery, lotus seed pod, broccoli, yellow pomelo peel, plus gladiolus buds and bamboo. Spring onion with lemongrass. Then it smells like banana leaves and pandan leaves, pretty leafy and freshly vegetative. Crispy unripe green mango, rich fresh figs, greengages, sugar apples, passion fruits, water-cress water with honey, light mandarin orange peel. Plus mint to finish. Kiwi fruit tea from emptied glass. Personally I'm a fan of these aromas from a whisky.
    • Taste
Water-cress water with honey, leafy note with fresh green, sweet and unripe fruits. green mango, unripe banana, aloe, greengages. Green grapes. gooseberries. And some grass.
    • Finish
Aloe juice, unripe banana, grassy, quite a bit of sugar apples, as well as some woody bitterness. Long and consistent.

    • Nose
quite shy, wakes up after about 20 minutes. The foreground belongs to the fruits: fresh apples, pears, apricots and dried mango. A drop of lime juice and mintleaf. Some funky rasin wood and traces of acetone. Vanilla and teaspoon of herbs. Cereal notes and honey. Friendly, warm aroma. I like it. After some time I´ve found some cocoa.
    • Taste
wawawiwa! Creamy and waxy attack! Tones of green fruits, ginger and barley sugar. The grassy flavor is mixed with green bananas and such a unripe mango. Lime juice, lemonade and vanilla. Lovely, fresh juice.
    • Finish
continuation of the narrative. Sour fruits, peaches, unripe bananas, spices and vanilla. Warm and long finish, very rich.

An old Irishman with a Rumfinish. I almost cried with happiness because I bought a 1/3 bottle for a fair price.
I loved the Jameson 12 Carribean Rum Cask and am absolutely thrilled with this.
But I also have to say that he unfortunately does not live up to the price of more than 400 € and he would never have walked into my closet if I had to buy it regularly. Nevertheless, I enjoy every glass out of the bottle.

Light gold pour. Nose is familiar nectarine, field flowers, maybe cream with a touch of something sharper. Mouth is quite peat forward upfront, followed by alcohol heat. Then more fruits and grass, flowers. Texture is medium, not as thick as the 1991 Midleton TWE single cask for example. All in all I don't seek out Irish whisky for sharp peaty flavors. Still this is good, just not my favorite.
