- Reminds me a bit of the Glendronach 18 Allardice. But younger and more unbalanced.
Initially a strong hint of alcohol. Then dried dark fruit and chocolate. It also has something musty like in wet wood. Some menthol at the end
Dark fruit. Directly drowned out by the sharp alcohol. Chili peppers. Then some banana.
A dry short to medium finish with again the chillies and the sweetness of the dried fruit.
- P/Q wise this is way to expensive. I’d feel a little robbed if I bought it and popped of the cork. It is Just to young and unbalanced. Happy with just a sample.
Rather heavy alcohol on the nose. Desperately in need for water. It is a weird nose. Heavy on the dark red fruits, roasted coffee beans, strawberry cheesecake. With water more raspberry then strawberry. Quite some accent on new leather as well.
It also has a weird taste. Again heavy on the alcohol and in need of water. Thick red fruit syrup, liquid raisins, sherry, Pencil shavings. For the nose, a truckload if water is needed, unfortunately the taste falls apart after adding it. It’s the one or the other, it seems that I can’t have both. A pitty..
Again thick on the red fruits. Strawberry, blackberry, raisins. The usual suspects. Also fruit flavored Pipe tobacco is present. Finish is, despite of it’s heavy sherry matured character not very long. Medium I’d say.
Can handle a truckload of water. Gets better and more balanced after doing so. But still it’s too young.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a Tamdhu.
