Four year old whiskey from the legendary Glenmore Distillery in Owensboro, KY (DSP-24-KY), which once produced the popular Yellowstone whiskey brand. Sadly closed now. Bottled during WWII. The profile of this bourbon is extinct. One of the best bourbons I've tasted in my life so far. Tasted together with Norbert.

Wow, this is so good! Old skool bourbon with lots of beeswaxed furniture, caramelised oak, cherries and strawberries. Rhubarb pie. Also rum-raisin, roasted almonds and pecan nuts. Old leather and cigar boxes at the background. What a complexity.

Very rich and punchy with lots of fresh sandalwood, dark coffee and cinnamon. Corn syrup. Baked bananas. Vanilla and custard notes. Hints of mango. Some range marmelade and burnt toast as well. Spices of aniseed and carraway. It's all very chewy.

Long. Sweet molasses, gingerbread and ginger. Chocolate. Pine at the end. Perfectly balanced.
