On the nose, pear, vanilla, almond, custard and exotic fruits!
On the palate, we find immediately the velvety side, creamy with vanilla (the pod that we rake with the knife!) And the multi fruit side on bananas, poached pears and melon, yes!
The fruity explosion then mixes with an intense floral side on pastry perfumes of dessert (loukoum!).
In the final, it's the same, but long, long, intense with a return of glued wood!

Totally conventionnal yet oh so pleasurable once again, you can't really go wrong with these if you know what you're likely to get. I love the fact that it's kind of an aromatic hybrid between the typical ~15yo and ~24yo Irish single malts. Would be curious to know the mean age of it. On a side note though, seeing the price, one can wonder if it wouldn't be a better idea to push it 50-100€ further to get a realy >20yo Irish that would be a real exotic fruit bomb.
    • Nose
(Festival note) Expectable yet always excellent "between the ages" Irish profile, with a huge spontaneity right after pouring. Pears aplenty, rosewater, flowers and bananas.
    • Taste
Here as well you'll find both kind of notes : the "adolescent" Irish ones with pears and a definite pastry-like maltiness, and the "adult" Irish ones with sweet flowers, orange blossom water, Turkish delights and light exotic fruits (banana mostly here).
    • Finish
Quite long, both fruity and malty, would be perfect if it had some citrusy element to make it refreshing.
