In the first few minutes, the relatively high alcohol content (51.3%) is noticeable with a slight stinging in the nose, but it dissipates after a while. A bulging basket of red fruits and wild berries, enveloped by intense smoke (with a slight greasiness), I perceive. Strawberries, cherries, raspberries and blackberries are dominant, a few blackcurrants provide a subtle sourish appeal. Subtle wood notes join with a hint of salt.

Hui, the alcohol makes for an incredibly intense aroma transport. The mouthfeel is almost silky soft, very oily and after about 15-20 seconds slightly astringent. Slightly peppery at the beginning of the tongue, smoky and fruity-sweet. Overripe strawberries, raspberries, red apples and redcurrants join the fruity side. The greasy smoke remains pleasantly present, the first spicy influences of the barrels are noticeable in combination with maritime notes and some chocolate. The alcohol is very well integrated, I do not add water for the time being.

Surprisingly long, smoky and fruity finish. The fruity basket full of berries also shows a clear presence in the finish, and the greasy smoke continues to make an exclamation mark. As soon as the raspberries and Co. are no longer perceptible, the smoke and gradually fine, spicy oak wood notes gradually take over the flavor base. The maritime notes of salt and lime are noticeable at the end, but linger discreetly in the background. Drying, without hints of bitterness.
