- The best whisky I've ever tried. For me it's a Speysider from an ex-Bourbon barrel. Glenlossie would be my first tip - or maybe Glen Grant. Incredibly full and juicy in taste, very fruity and noble.
- Incredible whisky. The years of maturation have made it velvety soft and despite the cask strength you don't notice much of the alcohol content. But you realize all the more that you have an incredibly aromatic whisky here that lets you experience a variety of flavors. At first, intense orange jam paired with honey surprises, then vanilla and caramel emerge clearly. the second sip a little later surprises with again intense aromas but this time new ones are added, such as chocolate, coffee and a touch of spices. In the finish you can again see the orange and finally a gentle note of tobacco. I certainly couldn't reproduce everything here, but it was an experience like in heaven. I cannot imagine ever experiencing a better whisky.
Vanilla Orange Karamel
Very complex, with a number of different taste notes which are each experienced intensely but very pleasantly.
Orange jam, vanilla and toffee, are then replaced by dark chocolate, then you discover a hint of tobacco, light smoke and leather, but the pleasant, long-lasting orange notes accompany the palate for a long time. With a little time and oxygen, other sides come into their own. Incredibly tasty and balanced. I have never experienced a whisky that can so intensely reproduce such different flavors! Actually 100 points ... but then nobody would believe it .. :-)
long finish. chocolate, leather smoke .. but also orange and soft vanilla
