Whisky Reviews for Bruichladdich 2006
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 83.86 points
- Worth the extra outlay from the classic laddie, with a far more dynamic nose, added fruitiness and complexity. Bruichladdich's use of locally grown barley has added to the economy of the Island and the lower yields reflect in the price and the on the nose. Rather bizarrely however, the barley has to be transported off the island to Glasgow (?) to be malted before being shipped back to the distillery! The maltings in Port Ellen are owned by Diagio and Caol Ila and Lagavulin get first dibs .
