- Color: light white wine, straw (OFS / NKG)
=> very bright for 21 years
but it doesn't have to be bad
(rather like that than cheating and coloring!) ;-)
- a very nice combination of sweetness, fruit, oak and spice
- Despite the 21 years of age, he unfortunately still has a somewhat (for me) dominant oak or spice, which remains very dominant at the back
- at 70 € for a 21 year old single malt a great whisky and a really fair price / performance
- Here you get an honest, strong single malt that is perhaps a below-average 21 year old whisky, but for the above price represents a really well-matured bourbon barrel storage and offers more than some NAS bottlings from well-known stills in the same price segment
-
Nose
Freshness, sweetness, a lot of vanilla, fruity (green apple)
-
Taste
mildly sweet start, becoming significantly stronger, toffee, vanilla, fudge, a lot of volume, spice is very dominant at the end
-
Finish
medium-long, strong finish,
long sweetish and at the same time powerfully spicy aftertaste
