I must commend the other reviewer for leaving tasting notes, many people do not and whether you agree or disagree it helps everyone to be more informed. In this instance I disagree, and by a great deal! It really just comes down to personal taste and preference.
This Cragganmore has a oily-waxy-herbal-honey profile that is quite complex and I’m sure would benefit from a drop or two of water, which I did not have access to. An egocentric malt that asserts itself in any lineup. I really like it.
Cragganmore is a blend workhorse, so official/unofficial bottlings are not as common. A bit of a sleeper distillery I think. Was one of the more memorable drams on my trip to Scotland. Certainly deserves a score better than 53, in my opinion, but it is too expensive for what it is.
