(Batch 04 in 2016)
N- There are aspect of Bold that reminds me of Islay, a diluted Laphroaig with the antiseptic stripped. The malty cocoa smokes, breezy sea notes at night, citrus with crushed leaf works magic here. Even some basil and sweet pine, layer of lamp oil lurking before the soothing white pepper and wood shaving appeared at very end.
P- Malty, caramelized citrus with cigarette ashes. Grounded spices with tea leaf, solid and balanced throughout . A wee light on texture but almost as good as the 1st batch tried 3 years ago (Note 245).
F- Lack the stamina of the old batch, not swim as far, at best medium length. Silky smooth, a hint of spirit-y sphere lurking, but well covered by the thick sweet peat, modern, well made and surely not bad.
