Whisky Reviews for Elijah Craig Small Batch
5 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 82.28 points
- Decent bourbon, not too sweet, not too woody. Unfortunately no more age.
- Elijah Craig Small Batch WID: 93792
Abv. 47%, fresh American oak
Nose: thick portion of vanilla caramel, an intense oak flavor, which I perceive as lighter and clearer in comparison to scotch, I come to Bourbon somehow not so differentiated ran as Scotch
Taste: again vanilla caramel, together with typical jenever spices, juniper, anise, perhaps also some caraway, the juniper note becomes more present with every sip and the sweetness blends well with the spice
Finish: Turkish coffee and more juniper
Conclusion: This juniper note is no longer in my head and I'm still not sure if I like the. I would like to try the 12er in comparison. A rating does not exist because of my lack of experience with Bourbon yet.
- Conclusion: a pleasant warming bourbon. In my opinion, a little bit bent, but it does not spoil it.
Aroma: fresh pastries, vanilla cream, powdered sugar, cherry in the distance. Good!
In taste: sugar buns, honey, spicy spices and a lot of tannins.
Finish: long enough, with a strong influence of oak and shades of sweet pastries, slightly vanilla, honey, pepper, with a cigar flavor.
fruity (red apple), vanilla, lemon, bit of smoke, spice and bubble gum
fruity, sweet, warming
rather long and spicy
