    according to the bottle:

Nose – Mature fruity flavours with chocolate honeycomb.
Taste – Rich toffee and marzipan with blood orange marmalade.
Finish – Warming with a long and oily finish.

I'm quite taken by this flavour profile. Proper stuff indeed.
    • Nose
Fresh and vibrant fruits at first. Citrus-y, yet with some stone fruits as well. Then it becomes sweeter, with hints of honey comb, caramel and coffee beans as well.
    • Taste
More coffee-like flavours, like espresso and cappuccino, so somewhat bitter. Hints of burnt caramel and dark chocolate, as well as cloves and a bit of oak too.
    • Finish
      Lingering dark chocolate.

Good combined influence of bourbon and sherry cask maturation with many lip-smacking spices, but could do with some fruitiness to balance these.

Interesting Tomatin, the nose and the taste is very nice at the beginning, but changes completely vary to the end of the taste and the finish. Even so I think this is the best one of the Five Virtues Series.
    • Nose
Sherry, fruits, honey, milk caramel, salted minerals and pine resin.
    • Taste
Sherry. Honey and caramel. Grapefruit and ginger orange marmalade. Cocoa.
    • Finish
      Medium length, metallic, sour.

I miss something in  this one.
    • Nose
Fruity flavours present. Hints of chocolate honeycomb and smooth toffee notes.
    • Taste
Caramel notes, honey. Nice sweetness.Lemon fruit. Cherries in chocolate.  Orange marmalade .
    • Finish
A little bit mineral aftertaste. Metal influences. Acidic  notes found.  Where is the warm and sweet finish?

  10. Falnor scored this whisky 69 points Connoisseur

It started alright, but the dirty taste was too much. I got a sample and perhaps the sample glass was tainted??
    • Nose
Good start with a decent nose. Do I smell pinetrees or forest? A little bit of minerals, caramels and some honey. Springtime.
    • Taste
Oranges, lemon, cherries with some white chocolate, but then...
D*** what does this dirty edge do with the whisky? An accidic kind of taste?
    • Finish
The last sentence made sure the ending wasn't on par with the start.
