Whisky Reviews for Strathclyde 1990 HL

1 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 85.67 points

  1. Kantenmechaniker scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

I find the ice candy note very exciting, this pure grain sweetness is a bit too one-dimensional for me at the start, but this is reflected in the finish.
    • Nose
The first thing I get is the impression of ice candy, fresh and minty, a light grain sweetness, almonds, still the ice candy, some yogurt, spicy oak, nutmeg
    • Taste
wow, oily, very creamy, sweet grain, totally intense, almost sticky, apple, overripe and red, cereals, some acidity, rum-like, dark chocolate on the palate, nice mouthfeel
    • Finish
still sweet, vanilla, now the ice cream from the nose, fresh, pleasant, long-lasting, getting a little tart with time with more oak, nice finish
