The color goes in the direction of terracotta, in any case you can see him (ripening) maturation in port wine barrel. The nose is full of nutty aromas, ripe sweet fruits (preserved fruit) and honey. It smells balanced and round. After some time, dark chocolate with a delicate blackberry aroma is added. (85)
He tastes of dark fruit gummy bears. Wine flavors are frontal, also in the direction of mulled wine / punch). Add to that a creamy-chocolaty note and again the blackberries are delicious to taste. Everything carried by dry oak. The dark chocolate is complemented over time by light chile flavor. (85)
The finish is almost as long and initially characterized by sweetness and fruits, later it becomes drier and spicy. (84)
Overall rating: 85 points
Conclusion: A very successful whisky, which does not conceal its maturation in port wine barrel at any time. If you are looking for a really good whisky from a whisky-technically (still) underdeveloped region, you can access it without hesitation!
