- a beautiful bunna and a good alternative to the 18 yo which is one of my beloved drams.
same quality I´d say, perhaps a bit fresher
very leathery start, cigars, a little smoke, engine oil, dried fruits (sultanas and prunes), a little toffee, hints of rum.
it has got a wonderful balance on the palate. the sherry influence has just the right intensity, it stays very fresh and appetizing. dried fruits, leather, tobacco, smoke. roasted nuts. so all in all very much the nose.
medium in length, still very much in balance.
- A beautiful peaty Bunna (smoked would be a more adequate term), balanced and consistent from start to finish. It lacks just a bit of finesse and pep to be extra.
Big puff of sweet tobacco smoke. Caramel, fresh nuts. A good dose of brown sugar. And full of black fruits (blackberry, blueberry, plum). Beautiful power at the level of this nose, which does not fan easily and is even haunting limit.
Gourmandise smoke to summarize. Black fruit syrup, brown sugar, tobacco, nuts, and always this smoke as a common thread.
The woody smoke stays in the mouth for a long time. Black fruits stay with him for a while.
