  1. The Macallan scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

    A fantastic after dinner blend!
    • Nose
Very rich and intnse aromas, deep sherry influence, old citrus fruit with dark chocolate, matured wood (reduced: esters, dried fruit, slightly smokey, sweet notes of milk chocolate and some Highland Park in the back)
    • Taste
Gentle, sweet, dried fruit, spicy, caramel/cacao (reduced: soft, floral, some malt, wood and mild spices)
    • Finish
Full and lots of flavors, light spicy with a light sweetness in the aftertaste and perhaps some Highland Park?

  2. holborndrinker did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Bottled for the Millennium Golf Open Championship at the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, St Andrews. The flat bottomed decanter, complete with silver coloured collar is packaged in a wooden presentation box.
