  1. Dram Brigade scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

The taste of peaty whiksy without the peat and doesn't taste like an oxidized whisky is the great signature of this whisky. Quite lovely.
    • Nose
Sweaty shirts? This whisky is unpeated, however its islay barley hence the coal smell is still present! Seaside saltiness, sourish malt, with some vanilla and lemon.
    • Taste
Sweet vanilla, follow by salted caramels and end with pepper. The slighty thick mouth feel, oily and saltiness covered the high abv very well until the end when the huge pepper punch on the tongue!
    • Finish
Medium long, sweaty peppery and some sweetness.

  2. Wolfe Tone scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

Fantastic Whisky, with a great combination of gristy, grainy and grassy flavours from the barley, but also soft and smooth fruits, apples, peach and sea spray.

I certainly like it better than the average score. Salty, sweet, sea air, chewable vitamin c, wool, wispy smoke, chalk. Good mouthfeel - substantial. Very clean, distillate driven dram. I like it a lot actually. Extremely drinkable and natural. What’s not to like?

Citruses, minerals, salt, pepper, dryness, fruit cake, sharp spices, salted caramel.

  9. Pyromann scored this whisky 83 points Expert Senior

Interesting whisky, mainly in taste. My first not smoky Bruichladdich. I should look for other bottles from this distillery.
    • Nose
At the first smell some artificial perfume, but rather after some milk-chocolate candy. After a while grass tones and fruits - oranges.
    • Taste
Fleshy, oily, heavier. Cherries, plums, special peppermint. More earthy tones, caramel.
    • Finish
Sharper, pissed into cherries and plums. Mix with woodiness. Longer.
