Whisky Reviews for Longmorn 1990 SV
4 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 88.16 points
- Delicious, honey, oak, grass, tart but still sweet. Typical bourbon barrel. A little bit of alcohol in the nose, the smell would probably not have given him 26 years. Fresh bread, malty, light vanilla and powdered sugar. Then it becomes a bit maritime, with salt and coastal air.
In the mouth further tart with oak and a little vanilla. It lacks a little complexity. The honey comes back, plus some white pepper and some more bread.
The finish is rather short, slightly bitter, especially with oak. In the mouth and on the finish, it is soft and dignified as it should be for old age. Still strong and full of taste, there are still substantial percentages of volume.
Delicious, good drinking whisky without showing any unique selling points for me. Generic but tasty?
