- SMWS tasting notes:
Elegant, delicate and fruity, were just some of the adjectives used nosing neat and we described it like pears poached in a dessert wine with honey and vanilla and a hint of ginger and cinnamon. ‘I could smell this all day’ – but we eventually tried it. Wow! - well balanced with fruity apple notes combined with oaky, slightly drying black tea and some spice in the form of nutmeg and pepper. A drop of water and we had mixed nut and honey baklava and on the palate a juicy fruit salad with custard and a never-ending lemon-mint sorbet finish.
DRINKING TIP: Make some time for this one!
