Whisky Reviews for Bruichladdich Infinity 2nd Edition

8 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 86.77 points

  1. Albaron scored this whisky 87 points Specialist

An unusual Laddie, very pleasant and fruity, strong, but also delicious
Exciting maritime notes that are not so often with Laddie.
    • Nose
Alcohol tingles in the nose, vinous, some sulfur, blueberries, raspberries and cherries, a bit meaty and the cowshed looks around the corner, a hint of smoke
    • Taste
a bit bitter, then the wine, some floral, black tea, the berries and again light sulfur, as well as slightly salty and maritime. In between a smoke impression, very dry
    • Finish
Wood tannins, the bitterness and wine notes, as well as tannins and the maritime notes

  2. Bowmore Axel scored this whisky 92 points Expert Senior

Nose: Sweet, caramel, slightly salty / mineral / medicinal with overripe yellow peach. Tender accompanying smoke.

Palate: Nice sweet and salty. Creamy, floral. The alcohol is well integrated. The 52.5% you hardly notice. No water necessary.

Finish: dry, salty, ripe peach, with a very delicate hint of smoke. Easy menthol. Fine salty mineral tingle on the tongue. Eztwas white pepper.

Remark: Everything is very fine and nothing is overdone.
Clearly visible suspended particles. Definitely not filtered.
    One of my favorite whiskys.

There are 92 points from me

  3. Kantenmechaniker scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

Notes were made during a blind tasting. In any case, he was delicious.
    • Nose
She's literally screaming for Laddie! Caramel, toffee, slightly musty, salt, slightly iodine, overripe yellow fruit, slightly fermented, in the background fresher light floral notes, no noticeable smoke, espresso, some peppery spiciness, creamy and heavy on the whole, hardly any alcohol in the nose
    • Taste
oily and creamy, a hint of sulfur, tearing, dry, oak, light fruit, slightly soapy, floral, no alcohol noticeable even in the mouth, needs no water
    • Finish
very dry, nutshell, again a little ripe yellow fruit, peach perhaps, yes now it is clearly peach

  8. Lafroy scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
Similar to Port Charlotte with hints of sherry, sweetness, fruits, wood varnish, some smoke and peat. It seems dry with light spirit notes.
    • Taste
Dominated by peat, weak sweetness, something that reminds of Port Charlotte. Additionally some notes of light bitterness and dryness. After a few seconds there comes more sweetness and ashes.
    • Finish
Very long, semidry with peat and smoke notes.
