  1. ASWhisky scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

If the nose begins to be rather complex and promising with dark and slightly ethereal and slightly smoky notes and sweetness, the mouth is initially cool and smooth, looks elegant and then becomes frighteningly shallow and watery, with an alcohol note - disappointing, then you expect a faint finish. It also appears that way first, then comes light and subtle, pleasant, slowly builds up, flattens off and at the end serves a perfect espresso You can put up with that Ranking: 1. nose and finish, 2. nothing 3. because of the grottoes boring and watery taste in the mouth he gets only scarce 80 P but it is very nice to drink and the beautiful espresso has saved him
    blind tasting

The nose starts extremely fruity, voluminous and complex. The taste is dominated by tart and subtle bitter wood tones, dark and powerful fruit flavors are also present. A warm smoky note is discreetly in the background. The finish shows off its powerful side and warms the mouth. A heavy and intense malt, easy-drinking without corners and edges.
    • Nose
Blind tasting: 1. smoke, sweetness, wood, fruit, ashes, peat, salt, oils, nuts, alcohol 2. Subtle and harmonic smoke is subtle in the background, fruity voluminous sweetness blends with a hint of vanilla, spicy and creamy wood flashes between the strong fruit flavors, apricots and peaches rise from the complex fruit note, dark cherries and a hint of orange make themselves felt However, it dominates the velvety peach and apricot note, the initial peat flavor is like the ash barely perceptible, peppermint fresh and a hint of essential oils produce a fresh pinch, roasted hazelnuts and almonds end in creamy roasted aromas, the alcohol is harmoniously involved and shows only after repeated nosing 3. Fruit salad garnished with roasted almond slivers with rum or cognac 4. Oily, velvety, full-bodied, complex and rather heavy, sweet and fruity, spicy
    • Taste
      1. fruity and creamy, wood, spicy, tart, coffee, citrus, bitter, sharpness 2. In the beginning, fruity elements are flashing, which are relatively quickly covered by spicy and tart wood tones, tart and slightly bitter wood tones are distributed powerfully on the palate, cold coffee flows through the mouth, a hint of bitter citrus fruits rises from the tart and spicy wood dark walnut aroma develops, subtle sharpness becomes more intense, a pinch of salt penetrates from the bitter wood 3. - 4. slightly spicy and bitter, tart, complex, heavy, spicy, full-bodied

1.Rauch, sweetness, fruit, earth, seasoning 2. light camp fire smoke, dark sweet fruit like dates sugared cherries and light grapes, musty earthy spice partly from the barrel partly from the smoke, aromas of wood oil or paints, after the first sip everything looks a bit darker and tart 3. Wood workshop with fireplace in the corner and fruit teapot on the stove
    • Taste
1.spice, earth, smoke, chocolate 2. only very light on the tongue, then come more and more aromas, dark barrel spicy is carried by earthy smoke. Behind it then develops the spice a nice dark chocolate, the very sweet fruit from the nose can only be guessed
    • Finish
      1st barrel, smoke, sweetie
      2. long-lasting dark chocolate, with proper smoke, warming and
      3. smoked dates
      4. overall a rather light body in the nose, the longer it is in the mouth the more intense the spice and the body, the finish is medium to long and warm, slightly dry and very soft

  4. Archer scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
      1. dried fruit, fruit, flower, sweetness, maritime, peat, smoke, wood, seasoning. Pleasant heavy and warming blend of sweet fruits on the one hand and maritime and smoky notes on the other. 2. The dried fruits (dates, plums, apricots) are dominant at first. The fruits are sherry-bred red grapes. Flowers only discreetly, as a hunch (lavender? Violets?). Sweetness comes from the red grapes. But behind it warm smoke, flickering turf fire, mild maritime notes (also salt). The seasoning is a smoked ham. 3rd summer house, later. Midsummer, evening, with friends around the campfire, guitar sounds, chirping crickets, fly mosquitoes, in the distance the sea rushes 4. Voluptuous, heavy and silky at the same time, full-bodied (in the nose? Yes, why not, an olfactory sense of wholeness).
    • Taste
      1. smoke, ash, peat, salt, maritime, alcohol, dried fruit, malt, coffee, chocolate, seasoning, meat, wood 2. Lead smoke, ash, peat and salt. Phenolic smoke, cold ashes, lots of salt. Maritime in the form of algae and seaweed and, of course, salt. No fish, no watt, no worm. Slightly alcoholic note that quickly vanishes. Again plums, red grapes too, but less than in the nose. Malty only in the middle part, fleeting. Coffee in the form of roasted beans, milk chocolate, spice from the pepper shaker, the smoked ham from the nose, young wood. 3. The evening does not end, enough wood is there, spare strings as well, until the morning dreads. Does anyone want an espresso? - and the sea is rustling. 4. Heavy, exciting, varied, full-bodied
    • Finish
      1. smoke, ash, salt, maritime, dried fruit, fruit, meat, wood, coffee, chocolate, seasoning 2. Cold smoke, a big mountain ash, a lot of salt and still the breeze from the sea. The dried fruits are less, the fruit notes decrease. Instead, more of the smoked ham. Coffee beans, dark chocolate, black pepper, not used sparingly. 3. Does anyone like breakfast? I'm making coffee fast. There is still ham there. Before someone else into the sea? Where do I get my swimming trunks ... oh, it does not matter. 4. Heavy, varied, full-bodied

  5. Alexandr_Zhurov scored this whisky 71 points Expert Junior

Great aroma, quite rich and dessert flavor, but bitter in the end. As a result, this is not peat whisky, but a sweet dessert sherry. Left a strange impression, I liked something.
    • Nose
Very bright, powerful, harsh and sweet syrup or jam, candied apples, sweet fruits, a hint of bananas, piquancy gives apple sourness, some kind of lacquer and honey.
    • Taste
Immediately syrupy sweet, cognac, red apples in sugar, a little pepper and oak, a little peat in the background.
    • Finish
Bitter, sweet and long lasting, but too woody with a slight bitterness.

  6. Malzbrenner scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

A very complex and pleasant whisky, where you can find new flavors with each crawl and each sip.
    • Nose
Sherry, Rum pot, very subtle smoke with light sweetness, dark chocolate, old books, very light maritime touch, a little cinnamon and vanilla; a very warm and friendly aroma
    • Taste
smoky, sweet, coffee, light spicy, caramel, slight oiliness, clove, fino notes
    • Finish
long finish, warming, with subtle smoke and dry sherry, dark chocolate and coffee, a beautiful, subliminal sweetness
