Whisky Reviews for Ledaig Batch 3 TBWC

2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 86.00 points

  1. jazzpianofingers scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

N: Creamy vegetal funk-ish/sweet-decaying peat, old stuff, mortlach-esque complexity.
    T: Sooty, a little creasote, ashy barley-sweet,..
F: Same deep vegetal>buttery<sooty level of peat.
C: Not for a long time have I given out such wildly varying scores. I tried this in May 2017 and it didn’t do much for me [80]. Today I find it very good.Scores a B[-]

N: A curveball only Benriach's Heredotus WB has thrown me in the past - namely a very particular style of PX & peat smoke. Maybe this is a tad more farmy.
T: Very similar on the palate. Cigarette ash comes with the territory.
F: Murky sweet shop in a dark mythical elf forest. Concludes with ash.
C: I'm not falling for this again but i do hope everyone else loves it.Scores a C-
