fruity after fresh and dried fruit and fruits,
slightly floral, syrupy, sweet, sherry, a little oak
    • Taste
      90 90
full, strong onset, fiery, tingling and burning on the tongue, sherry, fruity, sweet-tart with oak spice but not bitter, aromatic pipe tobacco brings some tart notes into play.
The 60.2% alcohol heat up properly but also contribute to a very intense taste.
    • Finish
      89 89
Sweet-tart, warming and engaging with sherry, fruity, oak-tinged, slightly tart, soft and finally fruity-sweetish after sherry and strawberry jam ...

      Can be sipped without water.

Tawny. Remarkably sharp and stinging nose feeling. Must be heavily diluted. Fairly strong aroma of sherry and light spiciness, with also a striking sharp undertone (grain?). Also still dilutes an attacking and moderately pungent mouthfeel with medium body. The palette contains a lot of sherry, light spiciness, wood and light floral notes in the background. A heavily sherry whisky that remains sharp and attacking even when diluted. Very drying. In terms of complexity, this corresponds to the Glendronach 12yo, but the latter is rounder because there is also a sweet fruitiness present and also much less sharp. Compared to the standard Aberlour 16yo, this A-Bunadh is clearly more potent and spicy.
