Whisky Reviews for Ardbeg Ten
6 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 86.80 points
- This is a consistently good whisky without weaknesses. You smell what you get and keep that in the finish as well. That's the way it should be!
Strong phenolic smoke. Tar and ashes! Maritime mood. Then citrus. That can only be Ardbeg.
Again the phenolic smoke. Maritime and salty. Then ashes. And on top of everything a very creamy feeling on the tongue. Now also the citrus freshness. I like the stuff!
Pretty long. Long also the creamy feeling. Otherwise, here too, the phenolic smoke, the ashes and the maritime notes. Clearly the citrus flavors.
- Balance sheet (22) I love this whisky ... I do not think that you can buy something better for this money (87)
Sweet peat ... fresh, mineral ... citrus ... iodine, ointment ... pastries ... herbal note .... wet cardboard ... extinct fire (21,5)
The taste is soft, rounded ... burnt log ... sweet fruit ... sweet lemonade (22)
Finish creamy-peppery ... oily ... fruity ... vanilla ... lemon peel and salt ash ... slightly viscous ... a hint of paraffin (21,5)
- The Ardbeg 10 years old, in short the Ten, is a non-chill filtered Islay single malt, bottled at 46%. The nose is quite sharp with lots of peat and a bit salty. The taste begins with firm peat with an underlying sweetness, with something of tobacco and / or strong espresso. The aftertaste is smoky, long and rich.
