    Horny part! Exactly my thing....!
    • Nose
      Blind tasting:
The question mark starts nicely dark, mature and full. Dark, heavy sherry. Raisins, chocolate, some damp leather. Wet forest soil. Oak is there, but nothing bitter. Bit of musty smell. Like opening an old drawer. From the alcohol I notice nothing. With time in the glass, toasted aromas come through. The leather smell is becoming clearer. Dark cherries and sweet plum jelly. Very round and balanced. Nothing bothers. Subtle fruit acid in the background.
    • Taste
Milder, full on. Boh ey .... that makes the cheeks full. : Love: The leather, the dark cherry, chocolate everything there. Very oily and occupying the entire mouth. Becomes slightly nutty and brings a little bitterness. But nothing sharp or disturbing. The alcohol is not noticeable. Must try slowly, otherwise I have the sample just blaring empty. The second sip comes with figs and pickled berries. But also moist tobacco and herbs. Ah yes ... already mentioned: love:. A pleasantly mature sweetness is spreading.
    • Finish
Medium. Very oily and ripe, like the whole body. Espresso and chocolate

You definitely have to get rid of sulfur, but then this one is awesome ...
    • Nose
The name is definitely fitting, a delicious smelling sulfur bomb, espresso, fresh crushed coffee beans, dark chocolate, plum jam, fruit pits, licorice, dates, chemically treated leather, freshly burned matches, nutmeg, autumn leaves
    • Taste
Absolute explosion in the mouth, a lot of strength, dates crushed, sulfur mints, espresso, dark chocolate everywhere, matches, leather, raisin, licorice, nutmeg, autumn leaves, with more saliva it is much sweeter and sugary, flowing brown, burned sugar, dark honey and currant syrup
    • Finish
The burned matches and the ashes are still there, fresh coffee beans crushed, raisins, prunes with the kernels in them, liquorice, dry-coarse with a certain sweetness, medium to long

really a nice dram that shows that good whisky can still be young. smws has chosen the right time to fill this stuff into bottles. I think a few more years in this cask and the freshness of this whisky would have been gone.
    89/100, maybe 90/100
    • Nose
it´s what you can expect from the information on the label: a young sherry monster.
dried fruits, mostly on the obligatory sultanas and prunes, lots of leather, a little rubber, cooking gas, earth.
it´s not really heavy cause it always remains  a little dry and from time to time we get whiffs of fresh berries, probably redcurrant.
initially restrained oak becomes louder with time in the glass
I´m not a fan of over sherried whiskies but this one is really good. (so far...)
    • Taste
very hot when sipped neat, no fun for my palate, let´s add a little water: ok much more human now.
nicely creamy on the palate with a medium sweet sherry attack on sultanas and dates, the creamiest of milk chocolate,(or is it hot chocolate?).
      really good!
cinnamon, perhaps allspice, a little pepper.
      also hints of orange peel
    • Finish
looong and spicy, still very much on dried fruits

A classic sherry bomb that has just left its youth behind, intense and heavy, offers plenty of room for steady dilution and never loses quality.
    • Nose
Cocoa beans, cinnamon buns, raisins, plum jam, blackberries, slightly cooling but not alcoholic, but he gets directly some water and then reveals sunflower seeds, hanuta, shoe polish, candied red apple on a stick, creamed chocolate, Mon Cheri, tobacco leaves, inkwell and wood stain
    • Taste
sticky-sweet and very strong, intense on the tongue, cloves and nutmeg, very Christmassy, even diluted outweighs the spice, full-bodied and dry
    • Finish
dry as from pure cinnamon powder, still strong and heavy, again baked apple, dark chocolate, leather, all medium long

    What a Whisky!

The offical tasting board was not exaggerating, the nose if full of contracting notes, from sweet dark chocolate to burnt rubber on the street to a slighty fruity tone.

The initial taste (w/o water) was a "bamm" on the palate - flushing away any other taste you might have had. Yes, it also stung, but the tastebuds were overwhelmed with tobacco, chocolate, sticky orange while the rubber burnt its way down to your tummy.

With a bit of added water it becomes more mellow, sweeter and bits of orange shine more and more through. Wild rasperry came across together with almonds and hazelnuts.

A whisky for those who like to be surprised - for the price an absolute "must have".
