I liked the C&S from 2016 a lot, now we have the older but weaker brother. Let's see. This one has also a lovely nose, very toffeeish. Rather short finish, warming. Now the "problematic" part: taste. Not as aromatic as the nose, Rather cardboardy rather brackish, which also affects the lovely nose.
The nose is a winner, the rest is a young whisky. Seems that the C&S youngsters profit from their cask strength.
