Whisky Reviews for Glendronach 1990 MM

5 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 79.75 points

  1. Heemhoeve did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

    nice whisky
    • Nose
      gentle
    • Taste
      soft and sweet
    • Finish
      gentle and long standing

  2. Fight65 scored this whisky 74 points Connoisseur

This is already my second disappointment of a Glendronach from the Bourbon barrel. Was definitely a refill and then diluted down to 46%. Once again a bitter disappointment and can hardly call itself more whisky.

  3. Allandale scored this whisky 82 points Connoisseur

    Body: Full, almost viscous.
    • Nose
Creamy malt. Minty leaves. Hint of burnt wood. Cloves.
    • Taste
      Sweet nuttiness. Leafy. Roasted nuts.
    • Finish
      Dry and nutty.

  4. SomeMalts scored this whisky 70 points Member Senior

Not sure whether it has been a sherry or a bourbon cask. But that it has been a (re)refill is clear to me. Nose must have been the most interesting part.
    • Nose
Grassy then buttery, sharp and slightly pungent. Some spices but no sweetness/fruitiness
    • Taste
Here is some sweetness but also turns a bit soapy and a fainty haylike taste.
    • Finish
Bit dry, not much else going on.

  5. SomeMalts scored this whisky 70 points Member Senior

On the 50 ml miniature the cask type is described as Refill Sherry.
