    Great made SMWS. For £ 55 n'Schnapper.
    • Nose
Blood orange in the nose, a little tartly sweet, but also refreshing, like ice glacier, also a bit of nail polish remover. But the blood orange dominates.
    • Taste
Then on the palate quite spicy, brown sugar, again this slightly citrus-sweet orange association but also a decent oak cargo. Not old or old cupboard, but fresh oak. Then on a second beat very sweet - strong, a pinch of pepper. Has bite, but very cool - 59 volts but no burning!
    • Finish
On the finish rather spicy, a touch of caramel and this thick orange marmalade, or jam. Breathing through the nose then again this glacier ice fresh, which fights through the sweet-sour of the citrus fruit. One can chew on it properly and the initially mentioned blood orange always comes back to my mind. Very nice, powerful but harmoniously spicy finish.

Very pleasant whisky, dense, thick, sweet, very similar to A'bunadh from Aberlauer, but more sweet and juicy - drinking sherry monster.
    • Nose
Restrained, dry, fatty notes, deep-frying oil, lard, malt, old wood, mineral tones - whetstone, stone powder, raisins, dried apricots
    • Taste
      Powerful, rich, raisins, oak, pepper wave, very sweet and dense, astringent bark, dried fruits, light metallic flavor, candied ginger, tropical fruits - mango, pineapple;
    • Finish
Spicy, warming, sweet-woody, slightly tart, light sour dried apricots, creamy notes, tropical fruits.

Explicit sherry notes, cookies, cream brulee, milk chocolate, honey, cake, almonds, cocoa, orange, figs, cherry plums, sugar candies, mint. In the background, pickle, just a little bit. In the aftertaste is a nice tannin!

    • Nose
Yellow apples, pears, gooseberries, kiwi. Rosemary, lemon thyme. Dry grasses, reeds.
    • Taste
Cornflakes, mild honey. White chocolate cream with fruit salad and almonds. A touch of cocoa powder and some pepper.

Again, such a delicious, spicy complex malt at a fair price - I especially like the intensity without becoming one-dimensional
    • Nose
soft light oak, a touch of furniture polish, subtle dryness in the nose, then massive delicious fruity sweetness, apple compote with cloves, cinnamon stick, star anise drowning in vanilla sauce, red crumble apples, a hint of orange, old lemon with zests, raisins, bay leaves, juniper
    • Taste
spicy, full-bodied, sweet, fresh mint, orange oil, forest honey, slight pleasant bitterness of oak tannins - a subtle, complex undifferentiated fruitiness
    • Finish
slight nuttiness, herbs, spices, notes of cinnamon, mint - runs very sweet - lasts for a very long time on the tongue - slight bitterness - that look chocolaty and never become too much

I will have to try the official bottlings!

    • Nose
initially slightly bourbonny but that´s to vanish soon. the sherry influence becomes evident but not overpowering or dominating the dram. it´s more like a good irish whisky. in fact it reminds me a bit of redbreast 15.
we got oranges , apples and few blackcurrants.
malt and light caramel in the background, slightly musty and a little floral, too. ultra-light oak.
    • Taste
mildly sour fruitiness on oranges and lemons, also hints of limes. absolutely fresh and mouthwatering. the irish/bourbonny aromas are completely gone.
the second sip brought in more malty components as well as some mellow dried fruits.
    • Finish
good length, still nicely fruity and slightly tingly.
