Whisky Reviews for Highland Park Fine Old Highland Pot Still Pure Malt
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 92.48 points
- A near perfect combination of old style sherry and smoke. Very fresh (menthol, blackcurrant leaves, some salt), a bit dirty and sweet smoke with mouthwatering sherry fruitiness.
- From a full mini.
Floral sweetness. Strawberries, peach, honey, and fresh flowers -- not the perfume-y type, thank goodness. Balanced.
Wow, doesn't feel like 57% AT ALL. Feels like 40%! It's supposed to be 100 euro proof. So soft initially. Then, a bit metallic, dusty, cardboard. Ahhh, the curse of the mini. You never know if this tastes like the full bottle.
Kinda flat at the end. A bit bitter. A bit metallic.
First time a 57% ABV feels like a 40% to me. A major disappointment.
Do people refill mini's? It's certainly old, but I just don't get the excitement people have for this....
- Beautiful old Highland Park without age, from my point of view here very overrated, good to drink and delicious ... nice to try to taste but I have had more delicious ... priced, of course, completely unimportant
Peach, cinnamon, oranges, honey, lime, slightly malty, milk chocolate, the second smelling then cream
Peppery, malt, oak, slightly lemon, later orange, toffee and honey sweetness
Toffee, smoke, oak and leather
