Nose very fruity, light, with apple and mint, very pleasant. In the mouth, cold shower: flat, slender, unbalanced and very short finish! With a little water, may day, may day, we also lost the nose! Enthusiasm 2/5
[September, 2010] I had this dram during a Prof. Schobert tasting at Bonn.
In my old rating system (ten scales that translate into WB points: 50 - 66 - 75 - 80 - 82,5 - 85 - 87,5 - 90 - 92,5 - 95) I scored it 85. My notes state a sweet and winey nose with a rich and mellow body.
I love the Oban way of doing scotch in small batches. I find it helps to control the flavor. The double mature as much to this process and you can really appreciate the amount of work that goes into each bottle.
