The nose offers lots of lemon & soda, sherbet, apple and a little vanilla
Chewy on the palate and a wave of various stewed fruits lashes across your tongue, great mouthfeel this one.
It gets really spicy neat but retains its fruitiness to the end of a long spicy finish.
I love this type of whisky.

Not a distillery we see often; and when you get a chance to try a Blair Athol like this, I'd say we need more of this on the market! Bottled in Joint with Head & Tails Canada, this bottle is woody, rich and quite rewarding.

Ooooh this is rich, heavy handed and woody yet super light at the same time! Exotic fruits, think pineapple sorbet and starfruit; there's a sharp note of herbal vanilla mixed with sandalwood and something else? Maybe almost mizunara oak or something really interesting like that. Brazil nuts and almost something like roasted pork.

The taste starts sharply with wood (Spanish cedar), and vanilla flan. There's an herbal note in there too; like nopales (cactus pads), and camphor. The oak dominates, but brings so much more behind it; tea leaves and apples, pastries and

The finish is long, super long. There's a ton of wood still, but it builds on the depth. Camphor and cardamom, with a touch of almond skins. The bitter twinge t the end really brings in notes of excellent old Lowlands. Grassy notes and more Portuguese tarts... seek this one out.

Nicely balanced and tasty dram. Distillate works well with this cask.
