Certainly an excellent sherry whisky.
Wow. Sweet, black blackberries, currant jelly, strawberry cream sweets and toffees. From the back mango (or was it papaya? Anyway something exotic) comes into play and joins with the rest to a sugar-sweet fruit cocktail that is rumbled with brown sugar and caramelized with a good shot of sherry.
A great nose. The sherry is not nearly as pressing, as you could imagine. He leaves the fruit a lot of play.
After the first tasting, the sherry is clearly more dominant, but the fruit bomb does not go without a fight.
Creamy on the tongue. Now the sherry is much clearer and takes the helm. Lots of sherry, some forest berries prevailed, a hint of jam. Caramel and toffee. Behind it some oak and coffee.
Long and warm. Coffee, dark chocolate and sherry. The strawberry cream sweets remain for a while.
