Drying, as you notice the port. Warm and long. Nut sticks and crystallizes to a slightly bitter walnut note
    • Nose
Sweet; ripe fruit; Caramel; Citrus (orange peel); Malt; small nut note, which becomes stronger after the first sip; Herbs
    • Taste
Full; sweet; first alcohol-sharpness, then milder; slight oak note; fruity; something tastes great. It is difficult to classify. Would say a mixture of herbs and plum-Madeira (alcoholic plum); but could also be a flowery touch; very interesting
    • Finish

For me a nice dirty thing. I like it a lot!
    • Nose
Glorious. Exactly my construction site. The colleague starts with a clear maggi and broth cube note. Thick herbs and a sting of alcohol. A sweet wine note comes to the front, which is replaced by dark, ripe, slightly sour berries. In general a growing body. After a short while in the glass, a spicy, moist tobacco note spreads. Some leather and again Maggi. Smells a bit of perfumed sunscreen.
    • Taste
Soft, spicy start. But immediately powerful vinous. The alcohol makes room. The thick herbs come and bring a nice fruit sweetness. Nutty bitterness and tart chocolate. Pickled, slightly sour dark cherries. Tough forest honey and yes, there it is, the damp tobacco.
    • Finish
Medium to long. First a bit dry, then spicy, creamy sweet. Espresso. In the mouth now in hindsight, a great ripe blueberry and blackberry.

Must be the home of Towser... Glenturret.

Unlike most other port whiskys. Personally, the floral note in this whisky bothers me a little. I prefer to attack Pegasus.
    • Nose
Fresh and flowery. Blooming summer meadow. Behind it fruity. Citrus fruits. Pineapple. Gooseberries. Sour cherries. The port shows up after a few minutes in the background with a dark cocoa note. Tobacco.
    • Taste
Once again the flowery and fruity notes dominate. Pineapple. Cherries. Orange peel. Garden herbs. Behind it shows some barrel flavor.
    • Finish
Long. Orange peel. Red berries. Grapefruit. Cinnamon. Oak spice.

    Glenturret ?!

A beautifully composed and savoury dram from this new, internationally
active independent bottler. Rich, elegant, lovely complex and
well-balanced. The sweetness and fruity character of the port pipe
blends quite well with the intriguing warm oak spices and pleasant
alcoholic bite. Very sweet and quaffable with an increased fruitiness
and slightly tamed spiciness when diluted. A perfect choice after a good
    meal.

I thank Michel Reick from Scotch Universe for the sample!

    • Nose
Sweet and fruity on the nose with red berries, subtle plums and
cherries. Becomes sticky fruit compote with time. Behind that fruity
curtain lingering spicy notes of cinnamon, oak and tobacco leaves
arrive. The alcohol is present but not pungent.
    • Taste
Bold and intense on the palate with a lovely sweet fruitiness of red
berries, brambles, dark cherries and plums. This creamy and thick fruit
jam is accompanied by a nicely warming spiciness of oak, pepper, and
cinnamon. Delicate wine aroma with a prickling alcoholic bite. Very
      mouthfilling indeed!
    • Finish
The finish is long, warm and creamy with sticky fruit jam, cinnamon and
spiced oak. Becomes slightly bitter on the tail with notes of grape
      peel.
With water: On the nose, the fruitiness is
significantly enhanced with a few drops of water, bringing more fresh
red berries to the fore. Very fruity and sweet on the palate. Nicely
balanced with cinnamon, pepper and prickling oak spice. The finish is a
bit shorter, creamy sweet and soft with red fruits, honey and oak.
