A good malt, no question. But he is too sprightly and not very mature. He can show a proud age, but not in taste or complexity. Easy drinking I do not say anything for the price.

A really interesting Bunna, where the alcohol is indeed in the nose, but has much to offer. I like it, even if very dominant bitternotes are involved. The game of sweet-fruity-spicy-bitter can be experienced here staggered.
    • Nose
light smoke, pleasant, deep in the glass, dessert cherries, currants, gooseberries, old wood, Pattex, the alcohol stings something, leather, vanilla, honey, suddenly pineapple !, the malt opens again, the alcohol still stands, then one may not too close; Chervil, nasturtium, now when heated also pepper, clove and coffee ... and strawberries ... if the alcohol would be better integrated, hammerleckere nose, but also so varied and exciting
    • Taste
sparkling and tingling fruity onset - with orange juice, plum jam with cinnamon and cloves, pineapple, raisins and vanilla - the fruit flavors spread over the entire tongue and are then immediately overwhelmed by deep barrel flavors - the malt becomes bitter as strong coffee. Leather, tobacco, campfire smoke, lots of pepper, spicy cress - and now comes the Bunna-typical tree juice, which lays over the entire mouth and stimulates the salivation. The same sequence is repeated with every sip - sweet fruits, spices and leather, coffee, watercress, tree sap - the waves flood the mouth in waves.
    • Finish
medium, the fruit sweetness must give way to the increasingly bitter barrel notes ... at the end remains a fat mocha cloud in the mouth, which is very slowly replaced by vanilla sweetness ...

Nose: a touch of maritime smoke behind heavy sherry acid and sweetness with old spicy wood, red and black currants, vanilla, overall very voluminous nose that lures me until the alcohol stings on Snifterrand (Dram 5 min in the glass) .. with some stagnation , Oak, tobacco, chocolate, leather and fruit without alcohol - addictive nose
Taste: first mildly flattering syrupy on the tongue, then unfold strong tart oak oak flavors along with strawberry cherry jam and fill quickly the whole mouth, grapes, raisins, vanilla, sawdust, slightly bitter notes like grape seeds are felt at the edge, the oak gets drier with cinnamon, nutmeg, chocolate, leather and tobacco, it tingles long on the tongue, the tingling comes from the wood, it remains as a tree juice sharpness with the finish on the tongue. Even with the second sip, the fruit flavors sparkle intensely and clearly in the mouth and, when the salivation begins, are almost completely replaced by the powerful woody aromas, leaving behind intense oak, cultivated by old age, with many facets and a long finish.
Conclusion: nose of the hammer, balance perfect for me and very interesting. Taste a bit woody yet delicious - for me on a level with the 25yo OB bottling, not so good and a few taler less - which I think is very good.

a magical malt - every time I have it in the glass, time stands still. Yes, it still has steam on the palate, but I also want to drink schnapps and no juice again tasted - bottle now uncorked for 4 months and half empty
    • Nose
buttery, rich, retro style sherry nose, rather sweet berries and cooked sour cherries with nutmeg and fine spicy tobacco, fine fire with a hint of Tyroler bacon - very fine and discreetly perceptible only as a "spice", pomegranate syrup (the Turkish is only boiled), subtle oak stands above the glass - with hints of anise and wax and mint - the warmer it gets the more aromatic the oak becomes in the nose, old buttery lemon, tender clove, noticeable cinnamon, caramelized sugar, hints of licorice, rosemary, thyme , Salt
    • Taste
Anise, wax, geranium foliage, green tea with jasmine flowers, lemon zest, delicate mushy musty old oak note very subtly, red berry jam, "a knife-tip" cigarette ash, spicy fresh light oak, it dances everything on the tongue - reduced sour cherries and flower aromas - beautiful balance
    • Finish
Peppery, fresh, rosemary and thyme oil, light anise notes, coffee, Black Forest cake with a Pott Cream of cocoa, again discreet Modereiche (pleasant)

    • Nose
Elegant. Yellow raisins, pickled cherries, fresh pineapple. Licorice, moist soil. Freshly mown grass.
    • Taste
Sweet and spicy. Mandarins, pineapple, almonds. Caramel, marzipan, honey. Milk chocolate, brown sugar. Long with a sticky sweetness.

This balanced Bunnahabhain with rough edges has so much to offer that it's fun to get to the bottom of this complex interplay even longer. Reminds me a little bit of the best Springbanks. The force in bottles definitely, superb.
    • Nose
      93 93
Slightly dirty Sherrynase, intense wood juice, strong impressions of a small fire on the sea, to the dried fruit and berry compote are served. After a while - it takes a lot of time! - open up wonderful waxy notes with a dark fruity undertone, which I like very much. Intense spicy sweetness like Black Forest cherries with Black Forest ham and a touch of sweaty brass (a handful of old coins)
    • Taste
      92 92
Honey, beeswax, super smooth initially, then some white pepper, tingling, masculine and tart in the best sense, tobacco leaves, nothing bothers unpleasant, but it comes even a glass of wild strawberries - just delicious!
    • Finish
      91 91
Harmonious duel of sweet and dry, which continues for a long time entwined, this is a sherry roughneck and velvety malt at the same time, the alcohol helps as a referee.

Difficult. Not very tasty, not unpleasant. The finish is very interesting. He ends up with 65 points. The nose is interchangeable, the palate begins to convince only in the Nachschmecken. Alone the finish is fun.

Hui ... juniper berries. Shortly I remember sauerkraut. But only briefly. Nutty sherry. Sulphurous. Moldy dark fruits. Hand warmth elicits something from an old spice drawer.
    • Taste
      50 50
Very cute. Dark fruit. Berries, raisins. Chocolate and mild coffee. Sweetness in the Nachschmecken and a slightly furry coating forms.
    • Finish
      76 76
Medium. Dry and chocolaty. Gradually espresso is formed.
