Whisky Reviews for Ardmore 2008 SV

Wow is the cloudy - the name "Very Cloudy" is very appropriate - hope it tastes accordingly intense.
Nose: ever rather weak, earthy and malty, anise and a hint of lemonade, subtle smoke in the background. Tasty things I really like in whisky but seems weak and fragile.
Taste: nicely spicy with tobacco, ash, malt and even some salt. The finish disappoints again with bitter lemon peel, burned wood and malt sweetness. Is again very tasty but it lacks of alcohol which carries the whole. With its 40% is far too thin.
Delicious whisky and at the price also fully okay. The turbidity also makes it an eye-catcher in the bar. The only 40% but unfortunately make a lot of potential broken.

    A great cheap dram.
The Ardmore wins its good PLV on the palate.
It can't convince the nose and the finish is also unspectacular.
It is a bit watery in the mouth, but has a good taste. Smoke and sweet notes in a great ratio.
Sure, not a flavor bomb, not a whisky that you spend a long time with.
But which whisky can claim that in the price region?
The Ardmore is a lovely easy drinking rep and more than worth the money.

I agree with Noface. Except for the fact that I think he is exactly right with the 40%. He is thus totally mild and the components are not superimposed by the alcohol. A very tasty whisky if you do not want to be so demanding and you want to drink a lemony ascheraucher in a convivial round. That's why the 87 points in his league
