    no water

Conclusion: yummy, the sherry barrel was not too intense, this results in a great combination between the barrel flavors and the tropical fruits of the Brennereicharakters. Well balanced and very soft.
    • Nose
right at the first nose, you get a very seductive combination of nougat / nutella and grapefruit in your nose, hazelnuts, great spiciness, chocolate, and dark forest honey, the alcohol is well integrated, and after a while you can add vanilla and tropical fruits like passion fruit
    • Taste
very soft and elegant, chocolate, nuts, this time more almonds, again tropical scents and some grapefruit
    • Finish
long and warming, also chocolate and almonds, only in the back the grapefruit comes to bear more and more, in the end a bit of licorice stays on the tongue forever

Delicious dram. It's fun to drink. 50 +% might have suited him even better.
    • Nose
Sour and fruity start, somewhat like a shoe factory, slightly glue, red berries, a little hazelnut, chocolate, hand-warmed the chocolate moves more into the foreground, plum, a little lemon, quite easy to smell
    • Taste
Sweet, raisins, creamy, chocolate, sweet red berries, slightly dirty, salt, nuts, very tasty, but you notice the lack of cask strength
    • Finish
Drier, nut, apple rings, sour, pleasant

Were first 2 glasses from the bottle, the second, which had also breathed half an hour and adding 7 drops on 2cl whisky convinced me of this dram Ben Nevis: you like it or hate it :)
    • Nose
Delicious typical Olorosso nose: Little orange on top of the black chocolate, lots of peche / peach, green bananas and yellow gummy bears
After addition, the peach and (blood) apples were predominant
    • Taste
Strong, spicy, peppers, the chocolate comes first up, followed by more peppers ..
After adding water (not too much) and letting it stand for half an hour the whisky really comes into its own, there is still an orange / chocolate combo, but the chocolate goes more towards milk chocolate.
    • Finish
Typically warm sherry finish, the wood comes up nicely,

  7. whiskyinstitut did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

The 19-year-old Ben Nevis matured in a luscious Oloroso sherry keg and tastes spicy-nutty hazelnut hazelnut, Nutella, salty caramel and almond with fruity undertones.
