    Already a great thing, the sherry, despite its strength still bearable for me, because little to no miss notes despite the young age, the Laddie has brought him well over, although nothing of just that more was left.
    • Nose
      Bitter chocolate immediately, absolutely dark dream in the nose, not very varied, but to bite, raisin nut bar, sherry bomb pure, you have to give it a little time as usual with the Dark Sherry things, but then he is set and full, dark leather, coffee beans
    • Taste
      Again, the dark chocolate, chocolates, plum pickles, raisins, jams, dates, pure Oloroso, honey and autumn leaves, black cherries and clear oak notes dipped in sherry, a little earthy also, thyme, oregano and some mushrooms
    • Finish
      Medium to long, getting drier with the massive dark chocolate, the vanilla is also stronger, coffee beans, dark malt, some pepper, nutmeg and clove

    Unfortunately, the Bruichladdich character is no longer there, but the barrel is too dominant, but it does not do much for me when the barrel was so good. The exciting finish is the icing on an otherwise very straightforward and tidy Sherryfasswhisky.
    • Nose
      88 88
      The nose has a clear red thread, fruity and sweet sherry, sweet raisins, some dark chocolate underneath, some peppery spice, a hint of iodine, cocoa, which was still a Bourbonfassfinish behind it, you can not see in my opinion, but makes me also nothing
    • Taste
      88 88
      dry full mouthfeel, full load of sherry, raisins, the nose is reflected 1 to 1 in the mouth again, here too a certain spiciness, some wood, bittersweet
    • Finish
      90 90
      In the end, I really mean to find the ex-bourbon barrel, now also vanilla, after a minute this could actually have been an ex-bourbon laddie, caramel, a hint of coconut, I find that very interesting

      Powerhouse sherry.
    • Taste

      Combinatie van sherry, noten en zeer filmend in de mond.
    • Finish
      84 84
      Zeer pittig prikkelend, bijna te. Zeer heftige sherry. Veel noten en oud leer. Ook wel tannine

    Blindtasting Tip
    Sherry keg (that was especially heavy)
    15 years
    approx. 50%
    Somehow I think of Balvenie or a Glendronach.

    Resolution: I would never have come here on Islay. It is very tasty, but still confirms this whisky again that for me the strong Sherryreifungen somehow all are interchangeable. Tasty, but interchangeable ...
    • Nose
      Thick juicy raisins, spruce needles extract, caramelised sugar candy, plum jam, freshly polished cupboard, melted chocolate, with the time a light blood orange joins
    • Taste
      Pleasant and creamy onset with lots of dark sherry, dominant chocolate, the alcohol starts to put a lot of pressure, raisins, very light bitterness and oak spiciness
    • Finish
      Again a lot of chocolate and some coffee with a very pleasant bitterness, the raisins are still sticking nicely to the cheeks

    A weird Malt!
    • Nose
      Old wood, polish, blueberry tassel, rum fruits, in the background glue, wood smoke, wood polish, cedar wood, more Rumfrüchte, acts heavy, dusty, locked;
    • Taste
      Solid, spicy, dusty old wood, more wood! Again these blueberries, chocolate, then also lighter and milder fruit flavors (from the Bourbon barrel) come through;
    • Finish
      Wood! Heavy, dusty and covertly fruity;

    An absolute firecracker, extremely active barrel, ripe full sherry flavors, with chocolate and even barrel seasoning but not superimposed. It remains Brennereicharakter received and would not be superimposed. Very harmonious full and round. Class malt with a long finish !!!
